Don't rule either out due to cost alone. To do that could leave your business vulnerable to a much higher loss.
Do you have any mission critical systems that simply must be available 24/7/365 or any that if they failed for a day would leave you with lost income for any reason?
In house staff are a real saviour when it all goes wrong. They're available when you need them most, they will know your systems well and have planned ahead for any problems giving the fastest fix.
Contract support are the next best thing if you have a good level of cover. Including fast response and a team that have made themselves farmiliar with your systems and needs should be able to resolve issues in a reasonable time frame.
If it's not so urgent then maybe some friendly help and advice is enough to get you going, The user forums or support ticket system could be the place to start in the Online Support section.
